New signs have appeared on the roads and parking lots around our building. Please read the signs and adhere to the following rules when driving on campus.

Bus Driveway and Front Circle

The bus driveway and front circle are closed to all vehicles except buses during school hours. Even if there are no barriers in place, please do not drive your car on the bus driveway or front circle during school hours as you could be endangering students or personnel.

Front Circle Restrictions

There is NO PARKING EVER anywhere in the front circle. This includes after school, evenings, and weekends. The front circle is a fire zone, and emergency vehicles need unobstructed access to the building 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Upper Parking Lot

The upper parking lot is for Parker Damon Building (PDB) staff only during school hours. Before and during school, parents should park in the lower parking lot only.

Student Drop-off and Pick-up

Many parents drive their children to school in the morning, and many pick their child up at the end of the school day. If you do not park your car (in the lower parking lot visitor spaces, please), you probably use the Drop-Off/Pick-Up area by the "Live Parking" signs at the side of the building. Please follow the simple rules below to make the beginning and end of the school day safer and more pleasant for all:

• Cars should line up in the lower parking lot. When it is your turn to pull up to the sidewalk, please pull all the way up to the farthest "Live Parking" sign. That way many more cars can get through the line more quickly. Students can walk the few extra steps from the front of the line to the school.


• Cars should promptly but carefully leave the drop-off/pick-up area as soon as they are finished. Others are waiting to move to your spot. Please do not stop to chat with your child, with others on the line, on the cell-phone, or do other tasks. Never leave your car unattended in the "Live Parking" area.


• No students should be dropped off IN the parking lot, or meet a car IN the parking lot. Students must stay in the car until dropped off by the sidewalk and stay on the sidewalk until picked up.

Speed Limit

The entire school campus is a "School Zone". The speed limit is ALWAYS 15 miles per hour in a school zone.

Please note that these rules for student drop-off/pick-up also apply to the start and dismissal times for half-day kindergarten.
